To accommodate students who prefer to share their space with specific residents, 17Hundred offers two, three, four, and five bedroom apartments. You have the option to choose between furnished and unfurnished apartments. All student housing units at our Durham College residence are secure, and access to your apartment is card controlled. We care about your safety!

When applying for our student housing, Durham College students may specify their apartment preferences on a profile card and we will take note of these as we plan your accommodations. We process applicant requests on a first-come first-served basis, based on the submission date of your application.

Off-Campus Housing Amenities

At 17Hundred, every Durham College housing apartment has a bedroom for each student resident, giving you the privacy you need. Your residence unit will also have a kitchen, dining area, living room, and one or two shared bathrooms, depending on the size of your apartment. Some apartments even have their own private balconies!

We guarantee that your Durham College home away from home will be comfortable and functional. All apartments are carpeted, and there are several storage spaces to keep you organized, such as kitchen cupboards, under sink cabinets, storage rooms, and built in bedroom closets.

For your off-campus housing, you have the option to lease a fully furnished unit or an unfurnished apartment that you can customize. We have on-site management and maintenance personnel on call 24/7, in case there are any emergencies or urgent requests after office hours. You can rely on the residence maintenance personnel to always keep our student housing clean and organized, while our front desk staff are available to assist you in whatever way they can. 24-hour security is in place to provide you with a safe place to call home.

Stress-Free Lease Agreements

We want to make sure that our student tenants here at 17Hundred feel secure about their lease contracts. We know how important it is for you to be guaranteed that you will not have to shoulder the rent or additional charges of your roommates, which is why you will be signing an individual liability lease contract with us. With this, your sole obligation is to pay for your monthly rent installment and any applicable utility and parking charges.

Student Housing Roommate Matching Services

If you wish to share your apartment with friends, you may file a request by listing the names of those people on your profile card. We require all requests to be mutual, so your friends will also have to list your name on their profile cards.

For other students, we offer a service called roommate matching. This service is designed to ensure that your stay here at 17Hundred is a truly positive experience. The process requires you to fill out a profile card which we will give you when you sign your lease. On this card, you will provide information about your personal interests, preferences, and hobbies. We will use the information that you have provided in your profile card to match you with the most suitable tenant/s with which you will share your suite.
